Moldova? Are you asking yourself where is it located? It’s in Europe! A small country that looks like a grape on the map and is home not only to the largest wine cellar in the world, Mileștii Mici, but also to the second largest wine cellar in the world – Cricova, 11 km away from the capital Chisinau. So, if you haven’t visited Moldova yet, it’s time to do it!
Hospitality is a synonym of Moldovan people, and you’ll learn that if you watch our latest video spot on Moldova, called “Be our guest”, that became viral and raised lots of discussion around the man playing the foreign guest, as it was a copy of… Brad Pitt, ups! In fact, we are so hospitable, that most probably you would never leave a party in our house if you won’t drink a glass of wine at horses’ mouth/a stirrup cup (la botul calului), which means to have the last glass at the doorstep, before leaving the host. Aren’t we cute?
If I haven’t convinced you that Moldova is the best wine destination, see this:
According to www.wineofmoldova.com (which I warmly recommend you to have a look at):

- Wine industry accounts for 3.2% of the Gross Domestic Product.
- 80% of the wines produced in Moldova are exported, mainly into CIS countries.
